Job Description
As Senior Systems & Network Administrator (AWS), your job is to design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure as well as support existing Linux systems.
Your responsibilities include:
Designing, installing, configuring, and administering IT infrastructure and systems solutions on AWS for SaaS systems
Setting, configuring, and administering a broad range of AWS components including network, servers, containers, software, and data services
Deploying monitoring, preventive, and counteractive systems and programs to detect, deter, and combat security threats
Setting and managing business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
Performing system backups and restores
Proactively managing and maintaining server, network, and firewall systems
Maintaining general platform health and system integrity

has demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Amazon Web Services - those with AWS certifications are preferred
loves working in a dynamic, learning-oriented, and high-performing environment
has excellent troubleshooting skills
Is proactive, self-managing, and has solid communication skills
is proficient in the following:
UNIX and LINUX operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and network protocols
UNIX principles, file editing, UNIX commands, and file manipulation
Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and LINUX shell scripting
Networking including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP.
Setting up, maintaining and cloud infrastructure of web applications.
AWS services with best practices regarding security and scalability. Currently utilized services: Beanstalk, ECS (Fargate), EC2, ECR, CloudFront, S3/EFS, RDS, Lambda, Elasticache
Experience with CloudWatch (setting up metrics and alarms), IAM (user permissions, service roles, policies), VPC (subnet configuration, routing, security groups)
Infrastructure as a code: AWS CDK (TypeScript) or similar tool
Docker and Docker-Compose
Jenkins (pipelines and shared libraries development in Groovy)
