Our Partner Client is a leading provider of Desktop as a Service, Managed IT services for small to midsize professional organizations, as well as cybersecurity for law firms. Their mission is to deliver amazing service so our clients can focus on success.
As the Senior Desktop Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be providing expert-level technical support with high customer satisfaction. You will install, upgrade, and troubleshoot complex hardware and software systems. To succeed in this role, you should have a problem-solving attitude and the ability to give clear technical instructions. You should be familiar with an MSP environment and remote troubleshooting techniques.
This is a full-time role, on a US shift and on a Work From Home set-up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Address client support tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking and meet SLAs
Perform root-cause analysis, develop solutions, and oversee issue resolution
Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues and accurately documenting details.
Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
Conduct remote troubleshooting
Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
Record technical issues and solutions in logs
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional
Report customer feedback and potential product requests
Develop and document standardized process and procedures documentation
Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN
Provide support to junior team members as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
Experience with computer and peripherals (printers and scanners) setup and troubleshooting
Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues
Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude
Customer- Oriented attitude
Core technical skills included:
Must have at least 2 yrs. of MSP experience
Must have at least 2 yrs. of Administrator experience with O365
MS Office, O365, Exchange/Outlook,
Windows 8/10, Server 2016
Experience with IT Ticket system and IT Management system, experience with AutoTask and Kaseya is a plus.
Active Directory Admin capabilities: create/delete mailboxes, distribution lists, experience with GPO
Networking gear: Routers, Switches, Firewalls
Experience with VMware environment, virtual desktops, and servers is a plus
Experience with spam filters, experience with Mimecast is a plus
Experience with Cisco and SonicWall is a plus
