About the Role
Our client is seeking a Sr. Cloud Ops Engineer with DevOps experience who wants to automate tooling and adopt the IaaS best practices. You derive personal satisfaction from the continuous improvement of a well-managed system. As an SR. Cloud Ops Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that we can sustain its current growth trajectory without any decline in system stability, performance, or reliability.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage AWS resources including storage management, performance monitoring and tuning, security policies, and upgrades
Assist with management and provisioning of optimized AWS resources: EC2, S3, RDS, EFS, FSx, SQS, Lambda, Secrets Manager, SSO, Organizations, etc.
Assist with the creation and management of Jenkins jobs and Ansible playbooks to improve efficiency and automation, e.g. support for deployments and server patching - 100% automation of CI/CD/
Supporting security team with SOC audits
Working with Datadog for logging and setting up alerts and monitors - observability that leads to preventive instead of reactive incident management
Required Experience
Required Tech stack:
Terraform
Jenkins
Ansible
4-year degree required Computer science or related field
Experience with AWS 4-7 years
Preferred:
AWS certification as a DevOps Engineer
Experience with rapid growth from small to medium-sized companies
