What you'll do:
Plan, coordinate, and control costing of physical inventories. Responsible for general ledger balances with focus on inventory, but not limited to. Maintain standard and current costs for products manufactured at plant.
1. Maintain accurate general ledger inventory account balances. Responsible for all journal entries to general accounting affecting inventory accounts. Develop, plan, and control costing of physical inventory. Prepare reconciliations of inventory balances on a timely basis. Develop and recommend effective plans for inventory valuation.
2. Prepare book to physical reconciliation and adjustment to be made to the general ledger.
3. Maintain accurate product cost files for all plant products. Conduct bill of material and labor audits on all new plant products and selected existing plant products. Responsible for accurate audits.
4. Ensure accuracy and integrity of labor reporting.
5. Responsible for analysis of variances for management reporting and action.
6. Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounts payable processing.
7. Ensure accuracy and integrity of processing of production scrap.
8. Post and compile monthly cycle count reports.
9. Assist with plant physical inventory as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, CPA is an advantage. Knowledgeable of SAP.
• With at least 5years of costing and manufacturing Finance Accounting and cost control experience. Familiar with accounting regulations, US & PH GAAP and ERP system.
Skills:
• This position is both analytical and operational in nature.
• The candidate should be able to accurately present and analyze data.
• Familiar with Philippines business environment and PEZA practices, with knowledge and experience on tax, customs, treasury and government compliance in the local environment.
• With good communication and problem solving skills. Have good English language skills and be a competent user of a computer being familiar with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Committed, team player, detail-oriented multi-taker, with the ability to meet and exceed set goals and deadlines.
