Job Description The position is SQS Inspector which will require travel to vendor shops, ability to set and meet their own schedule, arrange visits to the suppliers and perform inspections in compliance with Fluor Practices, Procedures and Client Spe Job Description The position is SQS Inspector which will require travel to vendor shops, ability to set and meet their own schedule, arrange visits to the suppliers and perform inspections in compliance with Fluor Practices, Procedures and Client Specifications. .Perform Evaluations of Supplier Quality System (ESQS) or Plant Surveys at a supplier's (or their sub supplier's) facility, as requested .Conduct Supplier Quality Alignment Meetings at a supplier's facility as requested on the Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) Assignment Instructions .Perform surveillance at supplier (or their sub supplier) facility to validate effective implementation of the supplier quality management system and Purchase Order specific Inspection and Test Plan .Verify materials (Material Test Reports (MTR), Positive Material Identification (PMI), etc.), survey manufacturing operations (forming, welding, processing, dimensional, finishes, etc.) and witness nondestructive examinations (NDE) or destructive tests and validate results for compliance to specifications .Issue surveillance or evaluation reports documenting surveillance activities in a timely manner as instructed by the SQS Assignment Instructions .Issue nonconformance reports (NCR) for project disposition when equipment/material that has been presented by the supplier as being complete is found to be deficient assist in providing solutions verify and report NCR corrective action results .Issue Supplier Observation Reports (SORs) that identify surveillance observations of questionable supplier activities for the information to be documented in the MatMan SQS Module database .Issue release reports releasing the products for shipment .Complete Supplier Performance Measurement on all orders over US$250,000 or equivalent Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors . Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job . Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines . Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Preferred Qualifications . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering/technical preferred . Advanced degree in engineering discipline/technical field, or administration area preferred . Auditor certification by outside agency (e.g., Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB), American Society for Quality (ASQ), International Quality Associates (IQA), etc.) preferred . Internal Lead Auditor certification required . Five (5) years of related Quality/project experience . Moderate interpersonal and communication skills .
