Our company, Remote VA PH, is currently looking for a experienced and excellent Fire Sprinkler Estimator/Designer who can work full-time from 9 AM - 5 PM EST. As a Sprinkler Designer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sprinkler system layout drawings (SP drawings) for various projects. If you have a passion for precision, an eye for detail, and experience in designing fire sprinkler systems, we want to hear from you. Knowledge of NYC codes is considered a strong advantage for this position.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
-Utilize your expertise in CAD and Revit to design accurate and efficient sprinkler system layout drawings.
-Create and plan fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, ensuring compliance with NYC codes and other relevant regulations.
-Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential data and assess the optimal locations for sprinkler installations.
-Coordinate with the engineering team to integrate sprinkler systems seamlessly with other building components and utilities.
-Perform hydraulic calculations to determine the appropriate water flow and pressure for the sprinkler system.
-Ensure that all designed systems adhere to industry standards, local codes, and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) guidelines.
-Review construction plans to identify potential design challenges and propose effective solutions.
-Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in sprinkler system design to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.
-Provide technical support to the construction team during the installation and testing phases of projects.
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Sprinkler Designer or in a similar role, with a track record of successful sprinkler system design projects.
-Proficiency in CAD software and Revit for creating precise sprinkler system layout drawings.
-Knowledge of NYC codes and regulations related to fire sprinkler system design is highly desirable.
-Familiarity with NFPA standards and other relevant codes governing fire protection systems.
-Strong technical knowledge of fire protection principles, hydraulic calculations, and material selection.
-Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and translate them into efficient sprinkler system designs.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and communicate design concepts clearly.
-High level of professionalism, reliability, and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
Working Schedule
-Work full-time from 9 AM - 5 PM EST.
