Negotiable Permanent contract Full Time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Install audio equipment, install video and lighting equipment, as needed.
2. Consult with performers to determine the sound requirements.
3. Select, position, adjust and operate the equipment used for amplification.
4. Apply technical knowledge of sound equipment to achieve the determined artistic objectives.
5. Monitor audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions.
6. Verify that the equipment is working properly for the purpose it was designed for.
7. Adjust volume and control knobs to suit the size of the room and the level of other noise.
8. Following installation, technician tests, troubleshoots repairs, and maintains the equipment as necessary.
9. Operate, monitor, and adjust audio and video equipment to regulate the volume and ensure quality in radio and television broadcasts, concerts, and other performances.
10. Set up and tear down equipment for events and live performances.
11. Test all parts of the system during installation to ensure proper functioning.
12. Maintain and safe keep sound equipment.
13. Report and repair equipment problems.
14. Keep records of recordings and equipment used.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the management.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education : College graduate
Experience : Preferably with at least 2 years sound technician
experience
Other Skills : Advanced computer skills
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Requirements
Minimum education level: Vocational
