Software QA Tester
 
Job Qualifications:
Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role
Experience in project management and QA methodology
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Strong organizational skills
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Clear understanding and solid knowledge on QA concepts, methodologies and testing techniques (black box, white box, functional, smoke, regression, integration, unit, acceptance testing)
Well versed in both manual and automated testing
A strong background in developing test plans, test cases and test scripts.
Having Sound knowledge on SQL and Database testing
Good understanding on programming fundamentals and object oriented programming (.Net/Java preferred)
Strong sense of ownership, passion and dedication towards Software Testing and Quality Assurance
Experience in web Technologies, HTML, XML, XPath, JavaScript
Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL
Hands on experience in software test automation tools (Selenium, Test Studio etc.)
Experience in coding automated tests using some programming language (Java, C#) and test APIs like selenium webdriver, Telerik testing framework preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Review and analyze system specifications
Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Evaluate product code according to specifications
Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
Help troubleshoot issues
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Applying testing programs to new software
Identifying bugs in new systems and understanding how to resolve them
Generating reports describing defects and resolutions
Ensuring that new software products are ready for consumer use
Working with development teams to prevent issues with new products
Plan, estimate, prepare and execute test cases and test scripts to ensure the quality deliverables.
Write and maintain automated tests (C#. Net and Telerik Test Studio) to support regression and health check testing
Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
Backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment
Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
