We are expanding globally, starting with Southeast Asia. To this end, we are establishing engineer teams in Cebu to develop one of our products - Cloud-based invoice management solution "Bill One". Our global teams are mainly focused on building new features for a worldwide audience, as well as supporting effective localization of products and initially services designed for the Japan market.

Responsibilities 
 
Business description Bill One is growing rapidly and is expanding its organization in line with this growth. Engineering Manager is a pivotal and essential role, as a person who sees their responsibility as maximizing the development organization's results.
 
We're seeking Engineering Manager candidates because we believe it's important for the person in this role to first become involved in the service and development process as an engineer within the team, deepening their understanding. We hope for you to take on management duties after you become familiar with the organization and its operations.
 
Specific responsibilities
Manage a development team
Manage 1-3 small teams of -5 members
people management of engineers
Support growth through goal setting, team assignment, 1-on-1s, etc.
Identify and resolve organizational issues
Identify and resolve both known and yet-unidentified organizational issues
Development Environment
Frontend: TypeScript, React
BFF: TypeScript, Express
Serverside: Kotlin, Ktor
Database: PostgreSQL
Code Management: GitHub
Infrastructure: GCP (App Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks etc.)
Qualifications
Experience in web app development
Experience managing a development organization
At least 5 years of combined experience from the above two
Preferred Qualifications
Agile and/or Scrum team management experience
Experience training engineers
Experience teaching, coaching, and providing feedback to engineers
Experience improving a development organization's performance
Experience hiring for and evaluating a development organization
Portrait of a person
Can balance business and technology and commit to the business' and engineers' growth
Can identify organizational issues and work autonomously toward resolving them
Can take a supportive leadership role and build a self-organized team
Can take responsibility and grow in any way necessary for self- and organizational development
