Job Description
 
We are looking for a full-time SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER, who will be working with an experienced team of developers.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages a software engineering team that builds, designs, implements, and maintains front-end and back-end for member facing products and related services.
Helps the team make the right design choices. Drives adoption of engineering best practices and development processes within their team.
Establish a learning and innovative culture for constant improvement of software engineering processes and programs
Establish the direction, and strategize the software engineering dept. Help build a dynamic environment that adopts change and perceive challenges as opportunities
Maintain full grasp of the projects and organize project priorities
Proactively investigate and identify critical points and major milestones.
Support, Work and collaborate with product managers on project road maps and add value to customer business.
Drives feature development end-to-end. Active partner with product, design, and peer engineering leads and managers. Regularly gives actionable feedback to team members, peers, and mentees.
Contributes in code when needed and actively takes part in code reviews.
Assign work to software engineering personnel, evaluate and manage their performance.
Ensures the team produces high quality software and delivers results against challenging goals.
Present project management backup as required.
QUALIFICATION/SKILLS:
Must be a graduate of any 4 years course, preferably Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, BS in Computer Science, BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Industrial Technology major in Computer Technology or with equivalent practical experience in closely related field
10+ years of experience in managing software engineering teams (mentoring junior engineers, setting technical direction, execution etc.)
Must have hands on experience at least 10 years in any of the following: Typescript, React.js and Node.js, Junit Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL
Excellent Personnel and Project Management Skills

Excellent leadership, Team player, Strategic Planning and Problem Solving Skills
Excellent Organizational, planning and documentation Skills
Expert-level knowledge of sector in technology and processes

Must be willing to work onsite
