Develops software solutions for a variety of end users, including the Senior Management team, Operational staff and external users. Utilizes advanced understanding of SDLC principles to support the achievement of strategic business plans.
Essential Functions:
Technical Development (60%): Develops software solutions and coordinates activities related to the development of software solutions. Performs triage in the event of service outages and/or business recovery. Communicates development priorities and interacts with end users and other team members to ensure the timely achievement of daily operational requirements.
Technical Design (20%): Designs software solutions utilizing best practices to create efficient, highly-performant solutions.
Customer Service, Advisory/Communication (10%): Directly provides proactive advice, counsel and services to employees and end users. Works with departments to ensure that software solutions are being used appropriately and the associated benefits realized.
Direction and Leadership (5%): Works with Software Development Manager and other Managers across the organization to implement and maintain strategic plans and activities that meet, support and align with PracticeMax goals.
Other Duties as Assigned (5%)
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
Demonstrated understanding of software development technologies and SDLC principles
A successful track record using one or more software development languages to create meaningful applications
Understanding of database structures and associated query languages
Effective communicate skills in working with end users and management to understand information needs and priorities and then work to meet those needs in a timely and cost effective manner
High level of problem solving ability in order to proactively determine problem areas and coordinate implementation of effective solutions
Ability to concentrate for extended periods on highly technical work
Excellent written & verbal communication skills, and outstanding customer service skills
Experience with clinical applications and other healthcare-related technologies
Qualifications:
At least 2-3 years of relevant experience developing software solutions
And/or industry knowledge of software development based on a combination of college education, certifications and professional experience
