Overview of the RoleThe role of an SMSF Accountant is to work with the SMSF team in an accounting practice to support core administration and back-office tasks, in accordance with client preferences and licensee policies and guidelines.Main duties include:
CLASS update management for unlisted investments
Managing transaction processing in Class Software
Assist the Associates in SMSF or Trust Establishment paperwork
Collect and manage all FY statements Prepare draft financials and tax returns in Class software
Provide regular communication to clients on work in progress and expected turnaround time for documentation.
Ensure the client's Business Process Meeting Checklist (manual) is current and up to date
Requirements
Graduate of BS Accountancy, Management Accounting, Accounting Technology or any related courses
With at least 2 years working in SMSF Admin/accounting space
Ability to competently use a full range of Accounting Software products including:
SMSF experience using Class Super
Xero
The ability to communicate (written and verbal) with clients in a clear, concise and effective manner
Able to work under pressure and meet timelines.
Motivation to complete tasks to the highest standard within required deadlines
