Job Description
Maintains tests and repairs engines of chainsaws, lawn mowers, garden tractors, MERCURY BRAND of outboard motor mechanic and other engines. Registration or licensing may be required
Analyzes defects and adjusts or repairs electrical and mechanical system of outboard motors. Disassembles and inspects motor for defective parts, using mechanic's hand tools and gauges.
Replaces parts, such as gears, magneto points, rings and spark plugs and reassembles engine.
Adjust carburetor mixture and electrical point settings while motor is running in water-filled test tank.
May change propeller to increase motor efficiency, based on size and shape of boat hull
May install or repair steering and throttle controls.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
With at least 5 years and above experience as Mechanic (small Engine)
Must completed 4-year in High School and 1-year college or vocational, Good communication skills
