We are on the hunt for a seasoned PHP/JavaScript Developer to take on an exciting project that involves customizing an existing WordPress website. Our site, tailored to leasing brokers, property managers, and business owners, features a user-friendly layout with various sections including Brainstorm, Expert Directory, Store, and Resources. The goal is to further enhance the site's functionality and user experience, particularly in the areas of advanced filtering for directory listings and ensuring top-notch responsiveness on mobile devices, with a keen focus on iPhones

Our website serves as a comprehensive platform for professionals in the tenant improvement industry, offering a rich gallery for brainstorming, a directory of experts, a product store, and a collection of helpful resources. We want to ensure that our users, regardless of their device of choice, have access to a seamless and intuitive experience, particularly those on the go using mobile phones.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and integrate advanced filtering functionality within our WordPress Directorist plugin to allow for a more dynamic and user-friendly search experience.
• Ensure full mobile responsiveness across all site sections, with special attention to performance and layout on iPhones.
• Update and enhance the UI/UX of directory listings and other key pages to align with our branding and functional requirements.
• Write clean, modular, and documented code in line with WordPress coding standards.
• Guarantee cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, particularly for mobile browsers.
• Work closely with our team to understand detailed requirements, provide accurate time estimates, and deliver solutions within the agreed-upon deadlines.
• Identify and resolve any issues or bugs to maintain an uninterrupted and high-quality user experience.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
• Demonstrable expertise in PHP and JavaScript with a strong portfolio of work on WordPress websites.
• Experience with the Directorist plugin or similar WordPress directory plugins.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and responsive design techniques, with specific experience in optimizing for mobile phones, especially iPhones.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• A track record of writing secure, efficient, and scalable code.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the capacity to work autonomously.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with AJAX and JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
• Understanding of SEO principles and their application to web development.
• Experience in custom WordPress theme development is a plus.
