SITE ARCHITECT
 
Job Summary
 
The Site Architect oversees all architectural works on-site, ensuring designs are correctly implemented, standards are maintained, and projects are delivered according to approved plans and timelines. The role ensures design intent, quality control, and coordination between the design team and site execution.
 
Key Responsibilities
Design Implementation:
Ensure all architectural works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, design intent, and specifications.
Site Coordination:
Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior teams to resolve design and site-related issues.
Quality Control:
Inspect and monitor site works to maintain quality standards and compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Technical Support:
Provide on-site technical guidance and design clarifications to contractors and subcontractors.
Shop Drawing Review:
Review and approve architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups.
Design Modifications:
Propose and implement design adjustments when necessary, ensuring consistency with the project's overall vision.
Documentation:
Maintain proper documentation of site activities, RFIs (Requests for Information), NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and progress reports.
Client & Consultant Coordination:
Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to discuss project progress, design issues, and construction challenges.
Compliance:
Ensure all site activities conform to local building regulations, sustainability standards, and health and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural site supervision or construction project management.
Licenses/Certification: Professional architectural license or registration preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other design software.
Strong understanding of construction detailing and materials.
Familiarity with project management tools and BIM processes.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Timely resolution of site design issues
Adherence to project timelines and quality standards
Accuracy and completeness of documentation
Positive feedback from clients, consultants, and contractors
Work Environment
Site-based role with frequent coordination between construction teams and design offices.
May involve extended hours depending on project schedule and deadlines.
