About the Role
Must have a deep understanding in store migrations from Magento to Shopify and other platforms. Spearheading e-commerce projects while collaborating with the development team to innovate and discover new solutions. This will be the full initial development into continuous maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
A problem solver.
Build an e-commerce website from Magento to Shopify Plus.
Set up new Shopify stores from an existing template.
Attend status/kick-off meetings, creative review meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Store migrations from Magento to Shopify (potentially other platforms).
Product page tweaks and feature development.
Troubleshoot code if not acting the way it should.
Trial and test various Shopify themes.
Provide suggestions/recommendations on solutions to business problems
Ability to take a supplied design and slice/dice into a new build Shopify store
Integrate the various (already) selected apps into the new build Shopify store
Ability to custom code/develop (when required)
Focus is on speed performance, UI/UX and quality development matched to the design
Position Prerequisites
6 years of working experience with Shopify preferably Shopify Plus.
Ability to implement well-written code that is commented.
Self-management of tasks is very important.
Ownership and proactive in testing, quality control, strong attention to detail, and a very good communicator.
Shopify experience with apparel/homewares is preferable
