Zeald helps NZ & Australian businesses who are frustrated by the lack of leads and sales they get from their websites & and other online marketing activities.
We're looking for a Senior-Level Shopify Developer. You should have at least 5 years of experience and a solid understanding of the shopify platform. You must also be good in LIQUID/HTML/CSS/JS. You'll need experience with version control and front-end frameworks and experience in integration with payment gateways, multisites, and implementation of different advanced plugins.
Must haves:
* 5+ years of development experience
* 3+ years of Shopify development experience
* Fluent with LIQUID/HTML/CSS/JS
* Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with in-depth understanding of DOM.
* Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions if necessary.
* Experience with Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating.
* Experience with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Metafields.
* Experience with CSS pre and post-processors-specifically SASS.
* Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools.
* Must be able to code for custom development
* Experience with databases such as MySQL
* Positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, sense of humor
* Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
* Willingness to contribute at all levels
Ideal candidates will also have:
* Experience with Shopify's themekit and/or Storefront API
* Experience developing with prototype frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
* Troubleshooting old, conflicting and unsupported plugins
* WordPress and WooCommerce experience IS A PLUS
YOUR DUTIES AND TASKS:
* Building, launching, and maintaining Shopify stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin system.
* Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using LIQUID/HTML/CSS/JS
* Take ownership of all front-end development and Shopify configurations for multiple storefronts across global brands
* Work collaboratively with teams to proactively identify and implement improvements.
* Developing and providing maintenance support
* Developing custom themes and plugins
* Migrating websites within Shopify accounts and other platforms to Shopify
* Integrating and setting up plugins
* Optimizing page speed of websites
* Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
* Transforming complex PSD/Figma layouts into pixel-perfect presentation layer HTML5/CSS3 templates
* Creating responsive website designs
* Working with version control systems such as GIT
* Handling multiple projects at the same time
* Producing high-quality work with a strong focus on detail
