The Shop Engineer shall be responsible in various coordination activities to facilitate the delivery of an assigned project/s within budget and schedule.
Reviews and interprets detailed engineering drawings and other assembly related documents prior to start of work.
Checks if project documents and drawings are in its latest registered revision.
Checks/monitors work activities based on the given work schedule, designed plans and specifications are in accordance with the project quality objectives.
Prepares daily, weekly & monthly progress report, project status and other relevant reports for proper monitoring of an assigned project.
Provides the productivity, manhours, budget/cost information, as required.
Coordinates regularly with concerned work units regarding the availability of required tools, materials and equipment needed for shop / fabrication works.
Facilitates the resolution of various project issues and conflicts through regular communication and coordination with the respective work units.
Evaluate and review vendor submittals and check its compliance with the design criteria and specifications.
Does visual inspection to ensure workmanship meets the standards used in the project.
Reports to concerned departments variations in fabrication procedures.
Prepare reports and documentations for the modification proposal, site queries, installation progress etc.
Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Engineering Graduate
Minimum Experience:
At least two (2) years of experience in in a similar/equivalent position in a construction, oil & gas, mining and/or similar sectors
