Responsible for carrying out activities required to effectively respond to maritime emergencies and other activities
Ensure that all equipment is fully maintained and functioning correctly, assess requests for air support and make recommendations to senior officers
Monitor alerts related to maritime security, assessing and passing information to the most appropriate authority, and take responsibility for data and information management, maintaining accurate, up-to-date resource information and databases.
• Knowledgable in vessel traffic management
• Knowledgable in maritime safety and security
• Knowledgeable in geography
• Knowledge in Tanker and Dry Bulk Cargo Operations
• Emergency and disaster management
• A degree or diploma in any discipline, but preferably Maritime Studies or Naval Architect
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good commercial awareness of the shipping industry and the operations of a vessel
