The Pig and Palm is owned and operated by Filipino food and beverage group, Modine Inc. in partnership with Jason Atherton's The Social Company  from London, UK.
 
The Pig & Palm is the first restaurant in the Philippines from Michelin-starred British chef Jason Atherton, the restaurant offers a modern European sharing style menu. An adjoining bar serves classic and innovative cocktails with a large selection of whisky, gin and rare spirits. It opened in July 2016.
 
Key task for Waiter/Server:
To adhere to the hours of work/shift system. To be punctual, to arrive in the restaurant at the appropriate time.
Setting and maintaining the highest standard of personal hygiene and presentation. To arrive on duty wearing the correct uniform at all times.
To ensure that mise-en-place is performed to the required standard. To check that daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out.
To have full comprehension of the POS in front of house operations.
To have a full and complete knowledge of all food served and up to date allergen information through training sessions with the chef, in order to maintain the highest possible service to the guest.
To control, place orders, and serve the guest following strict regulations.
To attend all possible tasting and training sessions in order for you to gain a more thorough knowledge
To be attentive and professional at all times. To recognise all customers and be aware of their likes and dislikes. To use their name at all time.
To achieve guest satisfaction through high quality service and to promote good relations with guests and fellow team members.
Responsibilities
To handle certain guest complaints and take necessary action to remedy the situation or notify a Manager.
To attend all relevant briefings.
To know the physical set-up of the restaurant and the flow of service.
To be in total control of allocated station when on duty, always using the correct table number & position numbers. To ensure that the station is not left unsupervised. To communicate with the runners and Managers.
To check that the working stations are clean and tidy at all times.
Throughout the service closely supervise the Runners, making sure that they carry out their duties to the highest of standards. Help them and encourage their performance and always be supportive.
To understand fully the service and billing procedures
To conduct an Induction program with all new Waiters and Runners and guiding them through the Standards and Guidelines Manual, housekeeping rules, statutory training and new starter paperwork as stipulated by the Human Resources Department and Restaurant Management.
To support the Management team and help ensure the smooth running of the floor during service.
To up-sell and to encourage others to up-sell.
To comply with and fully understand the laws and regulations regarding licensing, food safety, health and safety, fire equipment and fire training.
To contribute to the building of the team and have an active interest in employees welfare, safety and development.
To participate in trainings, daily briefings  and staff meetings to discuss and solve operational problems and to establish strategies for improvement and development.
To establish and maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
To comply with any other reasonable instruction from superiors and to work at all times towards achieving the highest possible standards.
