SEO COPY WRITER
Overall Description:
We are looking for a SEO Content Writer to join our Web team and enrich our websites with optimized product descriptions, blogs and overall website copy.
Responsibilities include conducting thorough research on Craft industry-related topics, generating ideas for new optimized content types and writing copy for our eCommerce website. Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.
The successful applicant must:
Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, product videos etc)
Knowledge of SEO and how it applies to content marketing
Write clear product/category description copy to promote our products
Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems (Shopify Plus)
1 Year Experience in uploading content/products to Shopify Plus Website as needed (will be trained)
Write, proofread and edit blog posts before publication
Submit work to Buyers for input and approval
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
Skills & Responsibilities:
Proven work experience as a Content Writer, SEO Copy Writer or similar role
Portfolio of published articles
Experience doing research using multiple sources
Familiarity with web publications
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
Ability to meet deadlines
Bachelor’s in marketing, English,or related field
