Job Role
You will be rewriting existing content whilst checking the content quality score, incorporating key words & content hierarchy structure (as instructed). Occasionally writing blogs & pages for the Solar Power industry. A content writer is required to follow proper SEO best practices which will be provided to you. Any formatting instructions or blog requirements will be provided for you. You will be expected to complete blogs by the assigned deadline and follow instructions.
Research industry-related topics (combining online sources and studies)
Write a clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
Proof-read and edit blog posts before publication
Add internal links to the content
PLAGIARISM SHOULD BE STRICTLY BE AVOIDED
Submit work to editors for input and approval
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
Promote content on social media (if required)
Identify customers needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
Update website content as needed
Follow SEO guidelines provided to you
Be responsive to any communication
Requirements
Has Customer Service experience in Australian Solar Power industry
Has 5-10 years experience in SEO / Content Writing
Good writing skills and thoughtful insights
Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role
Portfolio of published articles
Experience doing research using multiple sources
Familiarity with web publications
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress)
Ability to meet deadlines
BSc in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
Ability to do your own research to strengthen your blog topic (when needed)
Ability to meet deadlines
A positive, energetic attitude, Initiative, drive, and out-of-the-box thinker
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills in English required
Must be willing to work in AEST Time zone from minimum 9am to 5pm
Knowledge of the Solar Power industry is preferred
