Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain precise financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Data Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of financial data to detect trends, inconsistencies, and areas for process enhancement.
Budgeting Support: Aid in the budgeting and forecasting process, offering insights and recommendations to management.
Accounts Processing: Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification, payment handling, and collections.
Reconciliation: Perform bank and account reconciliations to confirm the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Audit Participation: Engage in both internal and external audits, supplying required documentation and support.
Tax and Regulatory Reporting: Support the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirements, as needed.
Credit Liquidation Reporting: Prepare or assist in the preparation of the monthly corporate credit liquidation report.
Payroll Processing:
Perform Administrative work in Gusto Payroll
Review and process employee wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately and on schedule.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
Address employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Compliance:
Review the correct federal income tax withholding based on the employee's W-4 form.
Review and withhold Social Security (FICA) and Medicare taxes from employees 'salaries.
Review and withhold state income tax according to the applicable state tax laws.
Assist in payroll-related audits and provide documentation as needed.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain organized and confidential employee payroll records.
Ensure the security and accuracy of payroll data.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and seamless onboarding and offboarding procedures.
Coordinate with the finance team to provide accurate financial information for reporting and budgeting purposes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience with at least 3 years experience in US Accounting.
In-depth understanding of GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Familiarity with accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Excel, etc.
Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
