What You'll Do
Working alongside local Cebu and US-based Ops, DevOps, QA and Engineering teams to:
Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code platforms like Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.
Facilitate the migration and shifting of on-premises applications and data to AWS cloud workloads.
Deploy, configure and support virtual and physical systems, software and users in a 100+ employee global, multi-site organization
Improve infrastructure operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for optimization and resolving them
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure, services, configurations, support and processes
Perform patching of OS, monitoring/restoring backups and regular testing for DR/application recovery
Consider building in automation scripts, processes and tools where possible
Implement Operational tools and requirements, e.g. monitoring solutions, high availability services
Research modern solutions that resolve complex infrastructure problems.
What You Need to Qualify
Graduate of BS Computer Science, or any equivalent courses
Minimum 5 years working experience in the related field
Minimum 2 years working experience in Microsoft services and software like Active Directory, Skype for Business and Exchange Online
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Strong analytics skills proving and solving issues with evidence
Able to work in a team and independently
Highly developed organization skills and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Azure Active Directory management and security best practices
Experience with manual and automated security administration, remediation, and hardening
Experience administering Microsoft Windows and Linux in a production environment
Experience with PowerShell and Unix-shell for automation and system administration
Experience deploying web applications using IIS, NGINX or similar
Experience managing physical and cloud storage solutions
AWS administration
Cloud Methodologies like PaaS and SaaS
Experience using load balancing techniques for highly available web applications
Knowledge of agile development/SDLC processes and hands on participation in sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups and sprint retrospectives with US and Cebu teams.
Knowledge & Experience with the following are not required but will give an advantage:
Configuration management and/or infrastructure-as-a-code platforms such as Ansible and Terraform
Hands-on experience in various aspects of cloud computing (compute, CI/CD, containers, storage, platforms, data, networking and security)
Version control systems like GitLab, GitHub
Data logging, parsing and visualization platforms such as ELK
Modern monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog
VMware ESXi hypervisor
Cisco ASA security appliance and Cisco AnyConnect VPN software
Familiarity with VOIP including the SIP protocol
Any of the platform certifications, such as: RHEL, MCSE, MCITP, MCSA, AWS
