This role will also be an active participant in translating and refining business requirements into technical ones and designing, developing, and deploying new backend services.Responsibilities/Job duties:
Design and develop solutions using Node.js, MongoDB, and various other technologies critical for our customers.
Conduct code and architecture reviews with Software Engineers across all experience levels.
Assist in building out the first generation of tools and best practices necessary for future teams to use in the development and deployment of client technology solutions.
Setup and maintain all monitors for APIs in use by production customers.
Help evaluate technologies and propose them where appropriate to deliver the right APIs to meet customer needs.
Participate in all phases of the software development cycle, from requirements, design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
Contribute to client relationships by communicating, answering questions, and presenting technical solutions.
Qualification:
Extensive experience building APIs in Node.js or other JavaScript technologies.
Experience developing and deploying using Cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
Extensive database development experience with MongoDB, MySQL and caching technologies such as Redis, Memcached, and others.
Experience developing in Agile methodologies like Scrum a plus.
Experience with automated deployment for CI/CD like Jenkins, Octopus, etc. a plus.
Experience building out application monitoring a plus.
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required, Master's degree a plus.
