Detailed understanding and experience with the SAP HANA technology, landscapes and any related interdependencies. . SAP HANA modelling and scripting experience including ability to write complex stored procedures and HANA views using SQL . Administer data models in SAP HANA, including setting of information validation rules, managing schemas, the importing/exporting and transporting of data models. . Apply advanced data modelling techniques, including currency conversion, variables and input parameters. Implement decision automation using business rules. . Monitor, investigate and optimize data models and reporting performance on SAP HANA. Advise on modelling approach and tools to achieve optimum performance. . Evaluate the impact of different implementation options such as table joins, aggregation, or filters. Understand the implication on performance of the various reporting tools and connection types . Script to enhance the data models in SAP HANA using AFL, CE functions, and ANSI-SQL. . Experience of managing complex and large datasets in a HANA environment. . Ability to design and build complex dataflows to facilitate various business requirements. . Strong knowledge of reporting solutions on top of SAP HANA. . Knowledge about the concept of authorization in SAP HANA, and implement a security model using analytic privileges, SQL privileges, pre-defined roles and schemas. . Implement data models with SAP HANA using analytical and calculated views. Should be able to advice on the modelling approach and best practices. . Ability to design and build complex workflows to facilitate various business requirements. . Knowledge and/or experience of integrating ECC, SLT, SAP HANA and SAP BW. . Replicating and loading data into SAP HANA from different data sources (e.g. SAP SLT, SAP Data Services, or Direct Extractor Connection (DXC)). . Functional ECC knowledge from an extractor perspective understanding of O2C, P2P, MM, HR, FI and CO modules would be an advantage. . Experience of ETL from non-SAP data sources. . Lead the preparation of test scenarios, end-user documentation, and user manuals Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Solid oral and written communication skills. Must have ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as engage with various stakeholders. . Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline . Able to drive workshops with the business to gather requirements and translate those to SAP HANA Enterprise solutions. . Proven track record of personal development in terms of change of roles and skills. Candidate should be able to quickly retrain/reskill should demand change and require this. Ready and willing to learn as new opportunities and skills become available. . Ability to work independently without guidance or supervision. . Displays strong leadership skills and can coach and guide juniors within the team. . Can aid in estimating HANA implementation efforts for project budgeting and planning purposes. . Experience with IT controls, compliance and security. . Experience with working in agile projects. . Experience with implementing Cloud, PaaS and SaaS solutions. . Experience with Continuous Improvement ways of working. . Ability to interpret customer requirements and turn into an estimated technical solution. . Preferably a good understanding of the Oil & Gas industry.
