SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER
 
Job Summary:
 
Senior Social Worker (SSW) undertakes planning, implementation and monitoring of aftercare programs and services. Reporting directly to Aftercare Program Director, s/he co-creates strategic design and policy to meet the needs of EverFree clients, and address gaps identified in program implementation. SSW provides supervision to Aftercare Social Workers to ensure work performance adheres to quality and ethical standards. Critical to the role is casework, supervision; and program coordination.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Program Coordination
Initiate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of aftercare programs and its activities
Provides regular feedback to Aftercare Program Director for program improvement
Prepares reports regarding the programs and activities and other data needed by the Aftercare Program Director and management
2. Supervision
Provides guidance and leadership to social workers within the Aftercare Team to ensure performance of work adheres to policies and procedures following organizational standard of care and ensures staff provide service according to ethical standards
Provides support and structure for social workers to perform efficiently and deliver accurate and timely results
Monitors staff performance and provides guidance and intervention if needed.
3. Case Management
Facilitates intake and assessment processes of Everfree clients
Facilitates goal development sessions to help clients identify plans and determine action steps
Determine and facilitate intervention needed by clients
Monitor client's progress and provide coaching and counseling if needed
Provides support for clients in crisis situation
Updates reports regarding clients and their progress
4. Program Support
Participate or assist in implementation of current and/or new project initiatives
Participate in other activities initiated by the Aftercare team and other departments which includes but not limited to culmination ceremonies, business plan presentation activity, and others organized for specific programs
5. Other Tasks
Participate in team meetings, general assembly and other organizational meetings
Participate in group organizational activities including Recharge group and individual activities, Christmas party, learning retreats and other social activities organized by the organization
Prepare reports, documentation and other data as needed by the organization
Qualifications
A licensed Social Worker who has at least five (5) years of experience working with traumatized or highly marginalized or vulnerable populations
Must have at least three (3) years of experience in case management
Preferably with supervisory experience
High intellectual curiosity and strong willingness to continually learn and strengthen one's professional knowledge and skills
High levels of professionalism and a commitment to excellence
Ability to empathize and communicate effectively with people from different social backgrounds
Ability to build trusting relationships with clients from a variety of backgrounds
Ability to develop a genuine passion for the mission of Everfree Philippines
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
