SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
 
Job Overview:
 
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring that costs are controlled and that the project is completed within budget and on schedule. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, as well as the ability to analyze project risks and manage contracts effectively.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses.
Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and address disputes as needed.
Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers.
Provide recommendations based on cost analysis and project requirements.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and validate work completed against costs incurred.
Collaborate with project managers and site teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
Prepare and present detailed reports on project costs, forecasts, and variances to stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project changes.
Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors and support staff.
Foster a collaborative working environment to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
