Role
Senior QA Tester - Associate Consultant
Summary
The Senior QA Tester will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the SIT team ensuring the quality of the releases. The Associate Test Manager liaises with the Project team, Business group, vendors, and other teams within Information Systems Group. The Associate Test Manager analyzes the Project requirements like Functional Specifications and Technical Specification documents. Work closely with IT BA in verifying the requirements to ensure clarity and completeness.
Primary Responsibilities
Test Management
Analyze requirements, understand the system or package to be tested, scope and the different parts of the test object.
Based on the product risk analysis, decide on which characteristics/object part must be tested and how thoroughly in which test level/phase
Create an overall SIT test plan for all in-scope test levels/phases.
Identify potential risk and mitigation, report and track.
Independent SIT team setup
Establish the acceptance entry/exit criteria.
Work with Project Team to mitigate risks that may pose as a challenge to the Independent SIT activities.
Estimate SIT effort. Refine / revalidate estimate performed at planning stage.
Participate in review/walkthrough of SIT estimates with Project Manager
Test Analysis and Design
Review test cases and develop test schedule.
Review test data requirement.
Ensure that SIT testers have access to all required systems, environments, and databases.
Test Execution and Reporting
Evaluate the test readiness to ensure that test execution can start without any hindrances.
Perform smoke test on the build in test environment and records the results.
Monitor execution of test cases as per the test execution plan.
Participate in the Defect Triage meetings.
Monitor re-test of defects fixes and track defects to closure.
Monitors day-to-day testing activities and reviews the Daily Status Report to ensure accuracy of the information before submission.
Ensure all Exit Criteria are met.
Test Closure
Develop SIT Sign-off Certificate
Conduct Test Metrics Analysis
Preserve Test deliverables for future reuse
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) is a must.
Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Manager (CTAL - TM) and/or Test Analyst (CTAL - TA) is preferred.

Education, Certifications, and Experience
Graduate of a 4-year college degree in Computer Science, IT, Management, Banking or other related courses
Experience (Minimum/Preferred Actual Experience/Work Experience)
At least 5 years of testing experience
At least 2 years of experience as a Test Lead or at least 1 year as a Test Manager
At least 2 years of experience in a financial services institution.
