As Senior Project Manager focusing on Engineering projects, your job is to support the achievement of the company's overall Engineering goals
Roles and responsibilities
Lead the creation and maintenance of high-traffic, highly converting websites for our customers.
Act as our websites' final gatekeeper, ensuring that they are working well at all times.
Lead the development of customer emails, with focus on deliverability and other metrics such as conversion and overall effectiveness
Lead the implementation of other SEO and CRO projects
Implement optimization experiments and track results to determine the next steps towards achieving the company's marketing goals
Monitor and report on progress of assigned projects and initiatives
Keep stakeholders and contributors informed regarding changes about to be deployed into our productions servers to avoid unnecessary and/or uncoordinated disruptions in the overall business operations.
Work with team to brainstorm on solutions for customer problems (including, but not limited to, usability and overall website experience)
Champion the generation of ideas that will help the company improve its marketing performance overall.
Measure and report on project performance and team efficiency using appropriate tools and techniques.
Enforce good practices in maintaining the company's code base (including but not limited to the performance of cleanup tasks for old and unused code)
Promote company values such as quality mindedness, proactiveness, objectivity (through data-driven decisions), and critical thinking
Plan and implement appropriate training activities that will both address the needs of the business and promote continual growth of all Team members
Document and maintain project documents and artifacts and keep them up to date at all times.
To qualify for this position, you must be a big-picture thinker, results-oriented, highly communicative, proactive, and quality focused. You must also have solid experience in leading web teams and/or projects.
In addition, you must be highly proficient in the following:
HTML/HTML5, PHP, CSS/CSS3
version control systems (Github, Bitbucket)
web and usability standards
Google Analytics
Google Webmasters' Tool
modern website architecture, responsive design, and server-side architecture
client communication and coordination
Knowledge of the following is a plus:
Information architecture, new design trends, SEM, SEO, content diversification, and social media
Optimizely, VWO, CrazyEgg, or other conversion rate optimization software
