You'll lead a high-performing payroll operations team responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and compliant payroll for our customers. You'll own workflow performance, solve complex problems, and set the bar for quality across the team.You'll be building and running the engine that powers payroll in our expert marketplace. That means managing capacity, overseeing implementations, driving standardisation, and helping transition Visory into a scalable, tech-enabled payroll delivery model.We're looking for someone who thrives in operational detail, leads with accountability, and is hungry to build a best-in-class payroll service.⚙️ What You'll Be Doing...Payroll Workflow Delivery
Own payroll workflow delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all customer payrolls.
Monitor and enforce service levels, proactively solving capacity and SLA risks before they impact clients.
Oversee ad-hoc requests and ensure high-quality outcomes across all tasks and client needs.
Quality Control & Process Improvement
Implement strong quality control practices in partnership with our Process & Quality team to maintain excellence.
Lead root cause analysis and documentation of quality issues, preventing recurrence and driving continuous improvement.
Maintain up-to-date process documentation and support platform improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership & Capacity Management
Drive team development and technical training to maintain excellence and build capability across the payroll function.
Build scalable onboarding processes for new customers, reducing key person risk and enabling efficient growth.
Manage team capacity strategically, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet demand.
Strategic Collaboration
Act as technical SME in our shift toward a more scalable marketplace payroll model, guiding the transition with expertise.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Service teams to improve workflows and unlock future growth.
Partner with leadership to shape the future direction of payroll delivery at Visory.

7+ Years Payroll expertise: Deep fluency in payroll operations and compliance (Australia & NZ experience ideal).
Operational excellence: You're obsessed with execution-you set high standards and deliver consistently against them.
Leadership capability: Proven experience leading teams and building scalable, repeatable processes that drive performance.
Systems thinking: Detail-oriented but able to think systemically about workflows, automation, and process design.
Collaborative mindset: You enjoy improving workflows and working closely with product and cross-functional teams.
Growth orientation: Excited to shape the future of payroll delivery in a modern, AI-enabled, marketplace model.

Have experience transitioning payroll teams to marketplace or outsourced service delivery models.
