This management responsibility includes successful achievement of product quality standards through the quality management team. The role is responsible for the development, implementation and support of manufacturing systems and activities. Ensures plans and resources (people, facilities, materials etc.) are efficiently utilized to ensure uninterrupted supply of products produced
1. Ensure product availability through execution of the build plan to support monthly product availability goals and inventory goals.
2. Ensures that divisional budget on capital and operations expenses are met to support profitability targets like defining equipment and capital investments required to support manufacturing operations and services; Conducts regular monthly evaluation of budgets and operational costs for the Philippines Plant and putting in place effective cost control measures in order to meet targets and see business recovery.
3. Ensures that lean manufacturing strategies are in place to achieve annual quality, reliability and cost improvements for all products. Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs to maximize yields and reduce costs.
4. Reviews targets for 'cost per unit' and the active management of how these costs can be continually minimized during the production process. Ensure spending and savings reviews are completed by cost center monthly to plan. Ensure target standard cost vs. actual cost support annual productivity goals by working with Supply Chain.
5. This role is responsible for the establishment and improvement of work code and productivity for all direct employees. These standards can be set and measured in conjunction with the HR function. This role is responsible for determining and planning the appropriate headcount to run each line in all manufacturing facilities. This includes the reduction of overtime by striving to achieve optimal standards, through the elimination of non-value-added activities and maintaining high performance culture.
6. Ensure annual Talent Development plans are in accordance including Talent Review, Succession Planning, Individual Development Plans (in line with Technical, Digital and Product Knowledge competencies). This includes driving 100% execution on performance reviews in line with SPS standards. Responsible for the right hiring, training, development and performance of the Manufacturing Operations Team.
7. Support ongoing Safety program including roll out of enhanced initiatives.
8. Improve Employee Communication by conducting SIM 4 with direct employees. Monthly Coffee Sessions, Quarterly Core Meetings and Operations review meetings, etc.
9. Supports Quality and Continuous Improvement Program. This initiative involves the ongoing evaluation of workmanship quality and the achievement of the company strategy of 'zero defects. It means the ongoing enhancing of a quality/learning environment, the embracing of qualities philosophies and ensuring that work teams are actively involves in driving continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
