We are currently looking for a Senior Network Operations Engineer who will serve as a lead engineer for monitoring, remediation and patching of all infrastructure equipment for different client environments.
The engineer will also be responsible for remediating alerts, working with ISPs and Vendors in resolving issues. The engineer should be very knowledgeable in networking, patching and rollback best practices. This position is not the average NOC role of "monitoring only" and then notifying the relevant resolution group.
This role will act as the single point of contact of monitoring and troubleshooting issues from the alerts. You will be the resolution group for all infrastructure equipment. So very strong and in-depth understanding and hands-on experience of server infrastructure and networking is mandatory.
Monitor a wide array of network equipment, servers and other infrastructure devices that include but not limited to: Switches, Servers, Firewalls, ISP Circuits, Wireless Access Points, Storage and Backup.
Troubleshoot and resolve alerts triggered for any infrastructure and networking equipment
Responsible for patching and keeping all infrastructure devices up to date. Strong understanding and experience with industry best practices for patching and rollback is needed.
Communication with all relevant teams and stakeholders to inform of the status of outages/alerts and making sure all parties are notified and aware of issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
• 5+ years of Server Infrastructure support and hands-on experience
• 2+ years of Network (switch, routers and firewall) support and hands-on experience
• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with all Microsoft Server Roles especially
• AD, DNS, DHCP, Print, NPS, DFS etc
• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience of networking technologies like TCP/IP, IPSEC, VPN, DHCP, DNS
• Must have ISP related experience, wireless and networking background
• Preferred Certifications: CCNP, MCSE, VMware VCP, Network+, Meraki Professional Level
