Is currently looking for:
 
SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER
  
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary escalation point in the team for all internal and external customers.
VM ware ESX, Microsoft Server and Red Hat Linux systems knowledge will be required to be successful in the role, Cisco and Juniper technology routing and switching knowledge will be desirable.
Troubleshooting LINUX, AIX and IBM AS400 system issues and Database application issues.
Troubleshoot Universe Database and MYSQL database issues.
Troubleshooting VM ware environments
Investigate Backup, Restore, Scheduling, Security and Performance related issues.
Troubleshooting and diagnose Physical server hardware related issues
Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP issues and Server Networking and Connectivity issues.
Report on problems and log tickets with third party carriers.
Collaborating with infrastructure teams to resolve Cloud networking related connectivity issues.
Provide technical support to end users for escalations from the Level 1 Help desk.
Provide Level 2 phone support and escalations to Level 3 engineers when required
Analyze recurring system issues and finding permanent solutions.
Manage own incident queue, within SLA’s and follow defined Help desk operating procedures.
Report weekly on projects; meet service levels in line with company standards.
Act as an escalation point for team members.
Serve as a liaison between third party engineers and suppliers where necessary.
Participate in in-house configuration and hardware/software resolution where required.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , any field.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Extensive knowledge in Cisco Devices both routing, switching and troubleshooting (CCNA-CCNP) preferred but not required
Has hands on experience in Cisco and Juniper Devices (Configuration, Build and Troubleshoot)
Has knowledge in DNS, DHCP, Firewall, Active Directory
Has knowledge in Juniper appliances (Configuration, Build and Troubleshoot)
Has knowledge in proxy, any mail servers or preferably (Netbox, Office 365)
Must have experience in Customer service/Customer engagement and can work independently and or in a team.
Able to document processes
Extensive Knowledge in UNIX/LINUX (RHCE certification) preferred but not required.
Has knowledge in VMware - build, install, configure (VCP- DCV Certification) preferred but not required
Has knowledge in any backup infrastructure
Windows with Active Directory knowledge is beneficial
Willing to work in Australian time
