Summary Description:
The Automation Enablement Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of automated systems in DBS. This role will be responsible for identifying automation opportunities in the team, and for leading and overseeing automation initiatives as conceived. The successful candidate will be tasked to work with cross-functional groups and end-users to design, implement, and manage automation solutions.
The candidate must have significant experience in automation outside of RPA and Microsoft tools and implemented new automation tools within their organization with strong business cases for the selected automation and was integral in the success of these initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for overseeing the implementation of automated systems in the organization. Working closely with engineers and other technical professionals to design, build, test, and implement these systems
Reviewing and approving detailed design
Develop plans to introduce new automation technologies to increase efficiency and productivity levels within the company
Evaluate potential automation projects to determine whether they make sense from a business standpoint
Work directly with internal stakeholders to scope automation needs, and partner with business analysts, RPA developers, process owners, and relevant business users to define use cases for automation
Create detailed plans for automating processes within the Company, including what resources will be needed and how long the project will take to complete
Conduct feasibility studies on automation technologies to determine whether they will be useful in a given situation
Determine which areas of a business can benefit from automation
Coordinate with other departments within a company to ensure that an automated process meets their needs
Conduct research on new technologies to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity in a business
Establish guidelines for the use of automated systems within a company
Develop training materials for employees who will be using an automated system
Maintain an inventory of automated systems within a company, including hardware and software components
Conduct gemba sessions with employees to gather feedback on tools and use it to improve the product
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any field
Proven experience in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing automation projects in their organization
Project Management experience
Experience and knowledge in advanced technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots, and automation platforms (UI Path, BluePrism, Automation Anywhere) preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Employee must be an experienced user of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Employee must also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools.
PMP-trained or certified is definitely a plus
Hands-on experience in using relevant development languages is a plus but not required
Knowledge on finance systems and tools highly desirable
