We are looking for someone with:
5-7 years of overall infrastructure experience and current expertise with storage management plus VMware and hybrid cloud infrastructure in DR and production environments
Expertise in infrastructure services, security concepts and best practices for virtualization and storage, technologies
Performed security hardening plus managing and supporting on-going patch management processes
Knowledge of software deployment technologies, configuration management and patch management procedures
Experience with compliance and audit activities for enforcement of policies, standards, and procedures
Familiarity with scripting and programming (batch, PowerShell, shell script and VB)
Experience with IT transformation, data center consolidations and migrations
Understanding of and experience with ITIL processes
Strong a dherence to change management processes
A solid understanding of risk, security, and compliance requirements and best practices
Good understanding of networking infrastructure and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, DHCP, Load balancing, Replication, SSH)
Able to support enterprise infrastructure and assist in the day-to-day operation of the team
Strong and reliable team player with the ability to manage change and work independently
Solid understanding of project scheduling and task driven project work
Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)
On the job you will:
Administer On-Premises, & In-Country Storage & Backup infrastructure covering SAN storage/replication, NAS storage, EMC Avamar/ProtectPoint software and Data Domain/Unity/XtremIO,.Cisco MDS, Veeam VCC, Veeam B&R etc.
.Administer Cloud based Storage & Backup infrastructure covering Microsoft Azure cloud, Microsoft ASR, etc.
.Daily fulfilment of approved Service Catalog/Request from Service Management tool.
.Provide L2 technical support for incidents investigation/resolution and problem follow up.
.Drafting, & updating L1 recovery operational procedure for 24x7 operation team.
.Follow up with 3rd party vendors for firmware/patching assessment, & change/incident/problem review.
.Create, maintain backup policies, perform backup and restore, troubleshooting, & reporting.
.Support Storage & Backup integration with Databases (DB2, MSSQL, & Oracle) & multiple Middleware.
.Create, maintain, and review operational and technical documentation.
.Monitoring of all Storage & Backup Hardware/Software.
.Proactively identify risk for existing areas.
.Provide suggestion of improvement for existing areas.
.Plan and perform change activity following change management policy and process.
.Create monthly/quarterly/annual Storage & Backup utilization and performance reports.
.Maintain backup inventory.
.Participate in the annual DR drills for all Datacenters.
.Power Shell scripting.
.Effectively collaborate with Server/Cloud/Databases/Middleware/Network/Data Center/Service.Delivery/Project teams.
.Provide 24x7 on-call support.
.Work on holiday/weekend for planned change/unplanned INC/DR Drill/Project cut-over.
