Brief Position Description:
The (Senior) Financial Accountant works as part of the Finance department. Primarily the role is responsible for managing month-end close and reconciliations as well as completion of compliance in local countries throughout the Novotech group.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's in Accounting or Business/Commerce degree, holder or holder- in-progress of Chartered Accountancy or Certified Practicing Accountants preferred.
At least 5 years of work experience in commercial environment. Prior work experience with global companies preferred.
Proficient with Excel and ERP system.
Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for month-end accounting close and preparation of monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow reports.
Responsible for the overall general ledger and preparation of underlying reconciliations for profit and loss, and balance sheet accounts.
Inter-company transaction management and reconciliations.
Preparation of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, lease, prepayments, and the associated depreciation and amortization schedules.
Working with the broader finance team to identify process improvements and updating or developing formalized accounting policies and standard operating procedures as required.
Assist with financial audit processes and associated compliance across multiple subsidiaries of the business.
Assist with the preparation of the company budgets and forecasts.
