Senior Financial Accountant
Description:
The Accountant operates as part of a dedicated team that is responsible for the accounting and administrative operations of the company. The Accountant will be responsible for the flow of financial information to the Finance Manager. This role will be predominately technical and excel skill based, with a high degree of reporting and data analytics, with the ability to operate both autonomously and connect across a global team.
The role is responsible for the accurate production and reporting of the company's monthly and annual financial results, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls, budgets and policies designed to mitigate risk as well as ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards and adherence to taxation rules in Australia and overseas.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related field
CA, CPA or equivalent from a recognised international accounting body
Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting is required
International accounting and/or commercial experience is desirable
Knowledge and application of IFRS or AASB is desirable
Tax knowledge is desirable
Experience in working in a multi-currency environment and consolidation of subsidiaries desirable
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Must be organized, attentive to detail, with strong problem solving, process improvement, and analytical skills
Has a working knowledge of a variety of software application including but not limited to Excel, MS Office tools, Oracles, and FCCS systems
