Timing and Sensor Interface Senior Test Engineer
The Timing and Sensor Interface (TSI) BU is seeking a Test Engineer to provide Silicon design characterization and evaluation support for ADI's Core Analog and Systems Franchise which currently accounts for 30% of ADI's Industrial Automation revenue. The suitable candidate will be required to interface as a central resource with design, product, applications, and manufacturing engineering from product inception to design, through release and high-volume production. This role will centre on product innovations around low-power analog technology, real time clock technology, combinatorial innovation, and maximising utilisation of ADI's extensive Analog IP to capture share across markets.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and debug, cost effective ATE solutions for new product validation, characterization and qualification
Evaluation of new silicon, working with multi-functional teams to identify, simulate, and correct functional and parametric problems
Work with multiple disciplines on correlation, characterization, limit setting, yield analysis, release to manufacturing, and post release cost sustaining and reduction efforts
Manage and maintain projects schedules that align with product introduction and release date
Consult with design engineers in defining & developing test methodologies, plans & test modes.
Support Reliability engineering through recommendation on qualification preparations as well as drawing conclusions from reliability test data
Support Failure Analysis engineers through validation and root cause analysis of device failures
Interaction with marketing & applications to resolve product issues or provide performance data
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or relevant technical discipline
3+ years of experience designing hardware and software solutions for Automated Test Equipment that minimize test cost and maximize test performance
Programming skills in C#, C/C++, Visual BASIC or other high-level languages
Expertise in schematic design, capture and layout experience utilizing Allegro or similar tools
Strong troubleshooting, debug, time management and communication skills
Team player and insatiable desire to teach/learn and grow
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or relevant technical discipline
ATE experience with Teradyne uFlex NI Eagles ETS-88, Nextest Magnum and SPEA test systems
Knowledge of IC fabrication and process technologies
Digital and/or Mixed Signal IC verification skills utilizing Cadence, Synopsis, Mentor, Verilog, System Verilog, Virtuoso, Incisive, Simvision and other similar tools
