As Sr. DevOps Engineer your job is to support and maintain the company's internal and production systems, including helping out with release management, automation, system maintenance, security, and configuration.
Your responsibilities include:
Ensuring high availability of internal and production systems
Ensuring that company and business unit standard server technologies (Linux/Windows), proper performance, optimization and capacity standards are implemented
Developing and implementing policies and process for internal and production systems
Implementing IT infrastructure and Engineering DevOps projects
Developing and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams
Evaluating and implementing approved technologies to improve the company's engineering infrastructure
Performing software deployments and releases.
Participating in on-call coverage for support of systems outside of normal business hours.
Performing maintenance during non-business hours and over the weekends.
Helping resolve network issues in case of absence of existing System/Network Admin staff
Assisting developers and QA Engineers in applying testing environment changes including making DB updates, property changes, and others.
Adding or updating How To documents for internal IT purposes.
Performing Database refresh on QA1 - QA9 environments to keep it up to date for Developers upon request.
Following up with Developers to make sure Release Plans are updated properly.
Watch error emails from all environments including PROD and create tickets as required.
Update PROD incidents and cause of downtime with proper info for reference.
