Role Senior Database Administrator Responsibilities * Oversees the performance, integrity and security of the database - may it be relational or noSQL: * Monitor database performance and ensures its availability for read and write operations Role Senior Database Administrator Responsibilities Oversees the performance, integrity and security of the database - may it be relational or noSQL: Monitor database performance and ensures its availability for read and write operations Minimize database downtime Defines the user access and control requirements Enables data distribution to the right user Perform tests regularly to ensure data security and privacy Performs back-up and recovery techniques for the database objects Manages parameters to provide optimal query responses Provides proactive and reactive data management support to the developers/users Collects, prepares and presents information regarding the database performance and capacity to the team leads and the customer Proactively and regularly makes recommendations for system improvements Fully understands the current and future processes and architecture And provides support to the team for utmost appreciation to the team for utmost appreciation of the technical details and objectives Ensures that the development team is able to properly prepare and migrate the development artefacts from one environment to another Conducts knowledge sharing sessions Oversees the completion of detailed technical documentation Identifies opportunities for the expansion of the project and raises these to the leads or the engagement manager Conforms properly to administrative requirements - including but not limited to daily clock-ins and leave filing Requirements Graduate of any IT related/Computer Science Related/Engineering courses Experience in Database Administration (On Premise - MySQL, MSSQL, Postgre, Oracle etc) Experience in SSRS, SSAS, SSIS Experience in Serverless Databases (eg. Amazon), Aerospike or cloud relational Databases Experience in MySQL RDS and Aurora Number of Vacancies 1
