The objective of this position is to work with business and technical authorities to implement data retention policies and practices related to handling our data from inception until disposal in a manner that optimizes storage and access at the lowest cost. You will support and interact with the client daily with a focus across the organization. You will also have the opportunity to show and grow with technology in a customer-facing role. Your future duties and responsibilities: You will be responsible for the development of a Data Retention Application within the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) team by demonstrating industry and data platform tools. Must possess superb analytical and technical skills coupled with the ability to drive project deliverables and encouraged to participate in a collaborative concept definition, architectural refinement, design, development and realization of products that support the strategic technology needs. Provide counsel and advice to partners on significant Database Administration & Management matters. Analyze, design, build and implement databases for sophisticated applications including access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization and security. Design logical and physical data models, data dictionaries and schemas. Recognized internally as 'the go-to person' for Database Administration assignments. Provide guidance on migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud (AWS) Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 5 years or more of experience working with a diverse set of RDBM's, including their installation, maintenance, data model design, query optimization and monitoring. Validated foundation in relational concepts such as normalization, referential integrity, primary and secondary index design, data modelling for both operational and warehouse environments. Experience in administration of Postgres (PEM, PgAdmin, pg_dump, pg_restore and pg_basebackup) on PostgreSQL 12 and up. Used Ansible for database deployments and change-management. Performing maintenance task like Vacuuming, Clustering, Reindex, Analyze Crafting Tablespaces, Schemas, Users, profiles and implementing various adjustments in PostGreSQL.conf file and granting users and application access through pg_hba.conf file etc. Configure SSL, PAM, Kerberos and LDAP Active directory authentication with PostgreSQL Installation and using Splunk enterprise for database log monitoring and resolution. Experienced in Cloud automation using AWS Cloud Formation or Terraform templates to create custom d VPC, subnets, NAT, EC2 instances, ELB and Security groups and more. Ensure application observability patterns and site reliability practices - configured CloudWatch logs and Alarms. Automated configuration management and deployments using Ansible playbooks and Yaml for resource declaration. Experience in working on AWS and its services like AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS, EBS, RDS, S3, Lambda, ELB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, SQS, and SNS. Configure and maintain Aurora databases, RDS databases and databases on EC2 instance DevOps Tools: GIT, Jenkins, Dockers, Ansible, Kubernetes Containerization Tools: AWS ECS, Docker, Kubernetes.
