Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain cloud-native data infrastructure for the MRV system
Develop robust data pipelines, warehouses, and integrations for geospatial, climate, community, and biodiversity datasets
Ensure scalable, secure, and standards-compliant data operations for carbon accounting and environmental reporting
Collaborate with analysts, field teams, and external partners
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in data engineering with cloud-based infrastructure and big data systems
Advantage: Experience in climate, environmental, or sustainability projects
Skilled in Cloud platforms (Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions), Data orchestration (Apache Airflow, Prefect), Programming (Python, SQL, PySpark), Data modeling, schema design, geospatial data (GEE, PostGIS)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and APIs
Infrastructure-focused, detail-oriented, and collaborative
Mission-aligned with climate and environmental goals
