SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for performing initial risk assessment and management of SunPower's dealers. It's primary duties includes the critical evaluation of the credit data, financial information and credit-worthiness of it partners. This position rolls up to the Credit Manager with a matrixed reporting relationship with Local Credit Manager in US.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts thorough analysis of financial statements and assessments of credit requests, including new requests, change requests, refinancing and annual due diligence.
Determines the degree of risks involved in extending credit limit to customers by producing financial ratios using SunPower credit scoring, reviewing SunPower experience and other commercial information
Reconciles credit files and identifies discrepancies/variances.
Ensures accurate compilation, analysis, reporting of credit recommendations.
Updates in a timely manner the Customer Profile payment terms and credit limit once proper approvals are received.
Provides credit limit recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk to manage/control credit exposure, make payments on time and reduce risk of customer disputes.
Presents findings and analysis. Provides risk management recommendations based on the findings including the customer's ability to repay.
Prepares spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.
Routinely monitors credit applications and approvals for compliance.
Reviews all existing dealers periodically on a credit perspective
Adheres to credit policy and guidelines.
Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls with regards to credit, collections and cash application process and procedures as well as assists with all departmental audits.
Maintains confidential records of Credit transactions for audit compliance.
Establishes and maintains positive rapport with customers (internal/external in order to achieve excellence in customer service.
Performs other related project and activities as required to meet company objectives.
Performs other duties may be assigned.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements
BS Accountancy or Management
Experience: Five (5 years) or more of work experience in credit management. Any work experience in accounts receivables management is a plus
Working experience in a shared service center environment is also a plus
Mostly involving pasting excel charts into PowerPoint presentations; works in minimal supervision; ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and work in fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to follow-existing processes and to create robust processes as needed.
IT Tools: Strong excel skills, especially graphing, VLOOKUP, SUMIF and converting non-excel data to excel; basic power point skills
Language: English
Willing to work in Sta. Rosa, Laguna
Willing to travel to the US as needed
Willing to be flexible in work shift
