Project Description
Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company will provide executive project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq. mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea. NEOM will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations. As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and companies will come to research, incubate, and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.
Responsibilities
Generate story ideas, write, and edit content for our internal and external communication channels, including Bechtel.com, SharePoint, emails, online promotions, and marketing materials.
Champion the Bechtel brand voice as well as Bechtel NEOM writing new project content and editing submitted content for consistency, including info pages, metadata, teasers, press releases, blogs, and interviews.
Special emphasis on understanding project milestones and planning ahead to capture and share successes
Drafting/publishing content for Bechtel platforms including Bechtel.com, SharePoint, Yammer, NEOM Project Newsletter.
Arrange and collaborate with our customer as appropriate on communications plans
Foster and maintain relationships with key NEOM stakeholders across the project
Cover and help our project area and department teams as required, which may include travel to various site locations to arrange online and in- person events, record podcasts and videos, develop stories and marketing materials, and engage project-based colleagues.
Basic Qualifications
6+ years experience in journalism, marketing communications, or communications.
Portfolio of writing samples.
Must be able to obtain the right to work in KSA.
Preferred Qualifications
AP Style writing (preferred), editing, proofreading, demonstrated ability to effectively translate technical info into compelling content for targeted audiences.
Experience with email messaging systems and web content development best practices.
Capable with online publishing and testing (technical elements required for posts and websites).
Accurate, detail-oriented, quick learner, self-starter.
Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with diverse, global team members at all organizational levels.
