Roles and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Senior Automation Tester are to manage end-to-end testings, including writing test cases, performing internal testing across a range of environments, and reporting back to business on the test results.
The Senior Automation Tester is required to work closely with product owners and developers to work on the testing plan, estimation, identify test requirements and test scenarios. The Senior Automation Tester will have to create, manage on-going maintenance, uplift, and optimise test automation frameworks.
The Senior Automation Tester must document and take ownership of software defects, design and perform Restful API testing, deliver validation of robust Mobile-based mobile applications, utilise automated testing and validate best practices, and recommend courses of action regarding testing delivery issues/concerns and then implement mitigation plans.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience testing complex Web & Client Server applications, Web APIs, and Mobile applications (Android, iOS, UWP)
- Experience with Web API testing using Postman
- Experience with Usability, Functional and Regression testing
A Successful Candidate must have
- Knowledge in software testing and validation tools, practices, and lifecycle methodologies
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and recommend solutions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Proficient with
- JIRA and Confluence or other software testing tools
- Testing solutions on top of cloud-based SaaS platforms (Azure, AWS)
