JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Analyst/Programmer is responsible for developing and implementing computer applications and programs based on business requirements in order to improve productivity and to reduce operating costs.
DUTIES:
Conducts data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
Translates business requirements into technical requirements.
Formulates and defines system scope and objective based on user needs and understanding of business processes
Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
Develops, writes, and communicates systems design, functional system specifications and functional architecture analysis.
Ensures completeness of technical requirements and functional architecture analysis for the design and implementation of system business solutions
Identifies gaps or issues
Builds use cases to identify functional requirements to satisfy business needs.
Creates test plans.
Develops user test cases and system integration testing and validates test results during testing.
Executes test cases.
Create a fully realized user experience design footprint for design projects that encompass end to end concepts.
Creates/updates detailed design graphics specifications.
Creates, modifies or enhances programs based on the approved technical design
Develops custom integration solutions including major enhancements, interfaces, functions and features.
Maintains new and existing object reference files.
Conducts unit and integration testing
Verifies the functionality of components and services and ensures deployment meets client's expectations.
Assists in production support.
Investigates problems and develops recommendations for resolution.
Keeps clients informed of problems, issues, and resolutions.
Performs script maintenance and updates due to changes in requirements or implementations.
Plans and performs ongoing routine application maintenance tasks.
Documents and completes knowledge transfer to production support.
Ensures all applications are documented according to standards.
Documents functions and changes to new or modified modules, test activities/results and other areas (e.g., error handling, backup/recovery procedures)
Creates release notes, deployment plans, etc.
Develops user guides and training documentation for systems.
Prepares and presents formal training to IT staff, as needed.
Installs and configures solutions.
Deploys new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment.
Sets up and maintains the test environments for both manual and automated testing.
May evaluate new application packages and tools and performs research on best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience working in applications, systems or IT operations.
Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products.
Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications/ systems using proven or emerging technologies, in a variety of technologies and environments.
Leads complex projects/programs that require multiple areas of expertise.
Expertise in multiple technical environments and possesses business knowledge that spans multiple business areas.
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Required Skill(s): VB.NET, JavaScript, ASP.net, MS SQL, Crystal Reports, JAVA, ABAP
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Aviation/Aeronautics/Astronautics), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
