SUMMARY OF ROLE
ITSM Specialist (Release\Change Management) primary responsibility is to introduce, implement and manage Release/ Change Management process/es to the Global IT organization for SunPower. He or she should be a practitioner in the area, focused on core IT Service Management/ITIL functions including but not limited to areas such as release, change, asset. problem, incident, change, knowledge, configuration and service level management.
The role requires establishing standardized metrics to measure the effectiveness of delivery of services required from the IT organization. Also, he or she is responsible for leading Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives to meet committed SLAs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Key responsibilities:
Drive Release/ Change Management process/es within the SunPower IT organization
Ensures that Service Level Agreements are updated and meets SunPower Business Units needs
Develop, recommend, implement and manage the Release/ Change Management roadmap for SunPower IT, including tools develop and design
Coordinate with Business Units to align, update and improve offered IT services with the business requirements
Design IT support processes for new business requirements
Spearhead Service Improvement initiatives for the whole IT organization
Management reporting
Knowledge and Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of ITILv3/ v4 processes, particularly on Change and Release Management
Strong relationship management skills
Excellent English communication skills
Strong background on IT Infrastructure, Application and Digital Systems support
Minimum requirements
Educational: Bachelor Degree or any 4 years related course
Experience: Minimum of 7 years working experience related to Information Technology Support
Skills/ competencies
5 or more years of experience in implementing and managing of Change Management Process
Working experience in managing and implementing ITIL aligned processes (Incident, Problem, Release, etc)
Working knowledge in IT Networking
Working knowledge in Server and Storage Support
Working knowledge in Application Support
Familiar with SaaS and cloud-based systems
Familiar with Digital Transformation
Must be ITILv3/v4 foundation certified
Excellent organizational skills
Willing to work on flexible and extended shift schedules
Must have strong analytical skills
Languages: Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred requirements
ITIL Practitioner or Expert Certified
Project Management Certification
Experience with ServiceNow
Ability to work and elicit cooperation from different support and business units
