Position Title: Senior Accountant
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 PHP a month
Reports To: Partner, Partner Advisor
Primary Relationships: Partner Team
Date: February 2024Schedule: 9:00 PM - 6 00 AM PHT
Responsibilities:
Manage the general ledgers for assigned properties, including the preparation of monthly journal entries and accruals for income and expenses
Conduct thorough reviews of general ledgers to ensure accurate classification of transactions
Verify the coding of invoices on Yardi Payscan, ensuring proper expense type categorization and identifying potential missed tenant chargebacks
Perform periodic true-ups of CAM and tax escalations
Handle tenant inquiries, address tenant delinquencies, and participate in CAM audits.
Conduct bank reconciliations
Prepare periodic financial packages, forecasts, and budgets accurately and promptly, including comprehensive analyses and supporting schedules for all balance sheet and income statement accounts
Provide explanations for significant variances in accounts upon request
Gather data for the corporate income tax team and assist with other tax compliance reporting
Perform detailed and high-level analysis as required for assigned properties
Demonstrate understanding of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash receipts, bank reconciliations, and lease administration functions in commercial real estate, and their impact on financial results
Prepare year-end work papers and support schedules as needed for external auditors
Execute year-end closing journal entries and roll forward ledgers for the following year
Assist the accounting team with Yardi special projects and process improvement initiatives
Contribute to the annual budget preparation process
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Excel
Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in commercial real estate accounting.
Strong accounting skills
Experience with Yardi Voyager is advantageous
Working knowledge of income tax rules and regulations is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting designation preferred
