Job Summary:
A Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records of an organization, analyzing financial data, and providing financial advice to management. They prepare financial statements, perform account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with tax laws and accounting standards. The role requires proficiency in accounting software and tools, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and filing of accurate and timely sales and use tax returns in various U.S. jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Prepare weekly reports and process payments promptly to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Review balances, skip pay, and manage collections from both internal and external clients, including lien processing when necessary.
Conduct reconciliations for multiple companies and accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare financial statements, maintain the general ledger, and handle monthly journal entries, adjustments, and amortizations.
Review, reconcile, adjust, and maintain reporting related to inventory to ensure accurate inventory management.
Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the preparation of budget forecasts to support effective financial planning and decision-making.
Conduct financial transaction audits and ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting regulations.
Oversee the proper utilization and management of Netsuite and QuickBooks software for financial tracking and reporting.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
At least three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on accounting experience, demonstrating a proven track record of excellence in financial management and reporting.
At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience with sales tax filing across multiple United States jurisdictions is essential for ensuring compliance and accurate tax reporting.
Other Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Merchant Services, Payroll, or POS industries
Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Work Condition:
Shift schedule: 9PM-6AM MNL time, Monday-Friday
